I used to consider her a good role model for teens. I guess not anymore. She might be the next Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan or Amy Winehouse. I warned my sister not to pick celebrities as role models for her kids. Instead she should choose sportsmen or sportswomen like Tigerwoods, Andre Agassi, Michelle Wie or Nicole David.
Let the kids watch their games, learn how they swing the golf balls or tennis balls, and face defeats or victories positively.

Most parents are mad with Miley Cyrus’ topless photos, but not Madonna. She’s the mother of 11-year-old Lourdes, who — like seemingly every other 11-year-old girl on the planet — is a huge Hannah Montana fan.
“Lourdes is a fan, and I don’t think she really cares about the photo,” Madonna said. “It’s not a big deal.”
It’s not a big deal to me either. The only big deal to me is not being able to make money to pay my car insurance premium.

Clean, tween role model Miley Cyrus - star of Disney’s very popular Hannah Montana comedy series - sings and struts her way across an oversized stage in a series of scrupulously designed, pretty, non-sexual G-rated outfits as an arena crammed with kids scream, cheer and wave their arms from side to side.
The 3-D effect works extremely well and adults will get a big kick out of hearing six-year old Miley fans react with piercing shrieks every time somebody points a guitar neck at the camera.
Between the energetic concert sequences - during which Miley sometimes looks like she’s being stalked by enormous camera cranes - we are taken behind the scenes to speak to fans and to watch the show being put together.
There’s plenty of Miley horsing around, joking and going through her steps. Also in the frame is her dad Billy Ray, the country-and-western rocker who delivered the world the monster hit Achy Breaky Heart in the 1990s. He also pops up in the Hanna Montana series and, judging from his demeanour here, is clearly happy to spend his latter years as a smiling footnote to his daughter’s megalithic fame.
It might also be something of an eye-opener to many Miley fans to see that one of the key people behind the success of this teen sensation is a gentleman called Kenny Ortega - a middle-aged man who looks like he came to deliver the pizzas.

The incredibly successful Hannah Montana “Best of Both Worlds” tour is closing in on its final handful of shows and Florida will host the final four shows.
Miley Cyrus, known to her Disney fans as Hannah Montana, will be in Orlando on Jan. 28 and 29 to play the Amway Arena before heading to Jacksonville for a show at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena on Jan. 30. Cyrus will then close out her Florida shows with a concert at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on Jan. 31.
Cyrus, daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, has become one of the most recognizable figures in pop culture. Her show on Disney, Hannah Montana, along with the countless toys and clothes that it has spawned has transformed her into one of the biggest acts in music.
Since beginning her ‘Best of Both Worlds’ tour in October she has sold out each show and shared the stage with fellow Disney stars the Jonas Brothers. 2007 ticket sales for the tour have been listed at $36 million.
